Discovering Dublin: The Liberties

Dublin is a great city to discover and to enjoy any time of the year. It has some of the most beautiful mansions and gardens I have seen and many of its tourist attractions are just beside the sea. There is always something fun to do depending on what you are into. This post will take you over a route that can be done in one or two days depending on what you are into and your speed. You can download the pdf version of the map below from the Liberties.ie website or by clicking here.

I love the liberties as it is a very Irish (maybe old Irish) area. You can transport yourself in time and everything seem to have stop in time. The air smells like a crop because the Guinness Brewery is closeby and the smell is quite distinctive! A pint in Arthur’s Pub is a must and a walk around the area too. These is the area that was used in Penny Dreadful to film many of the exterior locations and once you are walking on these streets you can easily understand why.
