Autumn’s Arrival Tells Us to Stop And Pay Attention; We Are Going Dark Soon

Welcome to Autumn, spiritual community!

A brand new week, a shift in seasons, and September’s end mere days away may prove to be a bit too much for some people causing anxiety and depression. The falling leaves and cooling temperatures are an imminent reminder that Winter is around the corner leaving the anticipation of the heydays of Spring and Summer caught up somewhere in the back of our minds as simply a muddled dream.

Long Summer days hosted by warmer degrees and extended light provide maximum opportunity to crush goals utilizing the internal happy place inspired by the sun.

A long-held universal representation of life and energy, the spiritual significance associated with the sun is divinity, hope, and renewal.

Heat and vibrant yellow light; it’s no wonder the sun inspires creativity, growth, and positive vibrations.

But life is not constant, it is ever-changing, and the transition from Summer to Autumn shifts a seasonal focus from light to shadowy days mixed with nature’s dance of sepia, feuille morte (meaning dead leaf), and russet blends. Yellowish browns and reds, a deeper color palette indicate a slower pace winding down the days to Winter.

And within the mix of fall foliage there is still a dance of light; fiery red/orange pair with dimmer hues telling us that within each circumstance whether nature or personally, there is duality in everything.
