<p>But, when we leave home, regardless of whether we go to our local grocery store, a favorite restaurant, a coffee shop, or a retail store, we find ourselves locating the exits, and, for the first time in our lives, watching people, not because we are people watchers, but to see if someone looks like they might be a possible shooter.</p>
