Are people born leaders? True or False!

It is often said that people are born leaders, is that true?

But, What is a leader? A leader is someone who can be the change they want to see in their organisation.

In the modern world, a leader isn’t necessarily the CEO of an organisation

Leaders are usually characterised as people with qualities that make them exceptional, like possessing traits that allow them to motivate others, make things happen , and achieve above-average results.

For decades, people have been trying to figure out whether great leaders are born with innate leadership skills or if you can develop into a leader. Recent scientific studies suggest that leadership is 30% genetic and 70% learned. These findings suggest that leaders are made not born.

The answer is that both are true: a person can be born with natural leadership abilities, and someone can learn how to be a good leader in whatever role they hold.

“Leaders aren’t born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work.” These words come from Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi.

So the question still stands: Are leaders born or made? There is truth to both sides of the argument. Great leaders are well-rounded performers — most of which they learned over time. Whether managing a growing business or leading a major corporation, leaders emerge by developing their natural talents.
