Bible Study Guide Day 339: 2 Corinthians 5–9

In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul draws insightful analogies to portray our bodies. He first likened them to fragile jars of clay, and now he extends the comparison by describing them as temporary tents. Just as tents are meant to be temporary dwellings, our earthly bodies are also temporary vessels for our souls.

However, Paul reminds us that we have an eternal home in heaven, where we will receive a glorious and permanent body from God.

He encourages us not to lose heart in the face of present suffering and challenges because our hope lies in the promise of our new heavenly bodies.
