I went traveling after high school for a year and went all around. I had a vague plan. Started in Sri Lanka, and I have some family in Israel. My cousin was having a wedding so I went there for a bit and went to the wedding. Went to India, three months there, just bumming around, hitchhiking, going here or there — I said fuck it, ended up in the Himalayas. From the last place you can drive to the mountain was a day hike. I met this guy who was the same age as me, doing the same thing. We bumped into each other a few times, and we met up there again. Ended up taking some strong acid and getting lost in the forest. We had to camp out into the night together, I was very scared for my life. They told us not to go on this course before, we were on acid, and we didn’t bring anything — but we made it.
