Back-to-School Playlist — 15 Harmonious 1979 High School Senior Year Memories

After a prolonged absence to pursue his real life, the cheerful, delightful Buddy is back, baby. And Plethora of Pop has rebooted and reopened its doors to its original unwashed writers, including me. Reading Buddy’s <a href="https://medium.com/plethora-of-pop/what-songs-would-have-been-on-your-back-to-school-playlist-15d30874269a" rel="noopener">excellent submission</a> and  <a href="https://medium.com/u/3b6b7d09fcd3?source=post_page-----4b3c1606a5ab--------------------------------" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Paul Combs</a> ’s <a href="https://medium.com/plethora-of-pop/school-is-in-twelve-songs-that-helped-me-survive-freshman-year-d6d246df9d23" rel="noopener">equally superb but radically different submission</a> for the same year — 1980, it’s impossible for me not to reflect on my own high school experience. So, I twisted the prompt to suit my needs. Instead of including the songs I’d want to hear, I chose songs associated with my memories of my senior year of high school, which began in 1979, and the era.
