Using practical examples from games already out there, I will help you take your first steps to improve the visuals of your projects and give you further resources on how to best continue learning. <p>The visuals of a game are of great importance to its success. Every visual element created for a game has a certain impact on its playability, emotional charge and visual beauty. To ensure that all these visual elements align with the goals of the production, and enrich the player experience, is the purpose of art direction.</p>
<p>When we say good art direction, people usually think of beautiful games with gorgeous art style. You might think of Journey or Firewatch. You might want breathtaking visuals to help you sell your game and to create compelling marketing materials.</p>
