As you walk around the city you start to realise that there are very few overweight people. Everyone seems healthy and happy and beautiful.
Then you also start to realise that there aren’t many fast-food outlets. And that people are riding bikes everywhere. I wonder if there’s any correlation…?
Hygge is real.
Hygge is a Danish word that’s defined as ‘…a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture).’
As well as being beautiful on the outside, Danish people seem to exude an inner peace and light. You can see it on their faces as they walk or cycle by; their faces look tranquil, content, at peace, full of self-confidence.
