11 Paintings from Spanish Artists That You Can See in U.S. Museums

Created in 1907 by Pablo Picasso, Les Demoiselles d’Avignon (The Young Ladies of Avignon, and originally titled The Brothel of Avignon) portrays five naked prostitutes from a brothel on Carrer d’Avinyó (Avinyó Street) in the city of Barcelona.

This is a proto-Cubist work considered to be strongly influencing in the early development of both Cubism and Modern Art movements.
