The Weight of Invisible Guilt:

When something grabs your heart and pulls it down. You feel the pain in every part of your body. Eyes like a cloud full of tears. It’s shit and doesn’t get any easier.

This is what I call disability guilt.

It’s not regretting being disabled or not wanting to be disabled. It’s very different.

It happens when I see the disappointment in my daughters eyes, when their bottom lip comes out as they say “It’s okay”

Always doing their best not to show me that they are disappointed.
