Living on an island has never failed to be a novelty to me. The effects of living in a hopelessly land-locked state my whole life has made the everyday comfortable with miles and miles of flat land. Living in England however, I live on a island. Nottingham is still in the middle of the country similarly to Nebraska, but when I am in Nebraska the closest ocean in thousands of miles away, while here only a few hours on a train could get me to two.
The wonderful thing about the United Kingdom in general is the amount of different cultures, landscapes, and people you can meet in such a small amount of land. When coming to England to study, I came to travel and thus I made it my mission to try and see everything.
