While on vacation last week, my husband and I were dining outdoors as we watched people walk by. I noticed how many girls strolled by with their friends dressed similarly in short skirts, tight tops, makeup, and false eyelashes ranging from early to late teens.
As I watched, I couldn’t help but wonder why these girls felt the need to hide their natural beauty. It led me to reflect on societal pressures and the influence of media on self-image, as so many feel that they must fit in to be liked, validated, or accepted in their social circles.
