The Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme is a quota-based entrant scheme released in 2006 that welcomes skilled people and entrepreneurs who have the desire to work and live in Hong Kong.
In 2021, the annual quota for QMAS was increased from 2,000 to 4,000.
All applicants should meet the Hong Kong QMAS requirements before even becoming eligible to apply. Once it is covered, they need to pass a points-based test.
They can choose to either be assessed under the General Points Test (GPT) or the Achievement-Based Points Test (APT). To pass the General Points Test, one has to have at least 80 points out of a maximum of 245. Those who select the achievement-based points test have to ensure that they have an incredible and rich profile since this is an all-or-nothing test.
