Motivated by his fascination in certain unusual geological formations on the Peruvian plateau known as the Marcahuasi plateau, Italian writer and researcher Marco Zagni made contact with renowned geologist Prof. Floriano Villa in 2000 through a mutual acquaintance.
Prof. Villa informed Zagni during the first and subsequent sessions that he had been a member of a group of “fringe” researchers in the 1960s and 1970s that included an artist who served as the group’s secretary, an engineer, a journalist, a doctor, and other researchers. There weren’t many other people participating, at least not in secret or with anyone outside of their immediate families.
