I have tried to get into the mind of the truck man, but they are a cagey group easily offended by someone not knowing what a one-inch lift does and why anyone would pay extra money for shinier rims. I have never needed to calculate towing capacity nor worry about getting stuck off-road in the mud if that tells you anything about me.
I’m on a Facebook group for Ford Maverick owners and it’s a strange mix of “truck bros”, fragile egos and what I think of as the target audience of people who want good gas mileage and occasionally need a truck bed to haul stuff.
I’m so practical I’m sure it makes people’s teeth hurt to listen to me talk about high gas mileage, low service and insurance costs, and an incredibly low starting MSRP.
