We’re less than five minutes into The Fall of Minneapolis and my students are already being subjected to disturbing footage of an officer pointing a gun at George Floyd’s head.
The footage was taken on May 25, 2020. Police have been called by a convenience store clerk in Minneapolis to report a man acting “erratically” in the store — possibly drunk — and allegedly passing a counterfeit $20.00 bill.
Watching these few minutes, the students in my small alternative learning high school class, are already angry and upset.
