Watching a Documentary Meant to Destroy the Legacy of George Floyd
<p>We’re less than five minutes into <a href="https://www.thefallofminneapolis.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank"><em>The Fall of Minneapolis</em></a> and my students are already being subjected to disturbing footage of an officer pointing a gun at George Floyd’s head.</p>
<p>The footage was taken on May 25, 2020. Police have been called by a convenience store clerk in Minneapolis to report a man acting “erratically” in the store — possibly drunk — and allegedly passing a counterfeit $20.00 bill.</p>
<p>Watching these few minutes, the students in my small alternative learning high school class, are already angry and upset.</p>
