There were moments in the latter part of June where I felt positively hopeful. One blissful week, in particular, where I realized that most of the pain in my right knee was gone.
That was a good week. I ventured out to run errands a few times without needing to use a cane. On a couple of occasions, I even kept up the pace with my daughter Sophie???—???again, without a cane. It felt so good that I began to feel terribly stir-crazy. I began thinking about things I might still be able to do with Sophie this summer. Maybe we could go to the Chattanooga Aquarium. Or the Discovery Museum. Perhaps I was finally turning a corner in my lipedema journey.
