I love Madrid. My favorite soccer team plays here: Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo plays here. We’ve just won the Champions League for a record 12th time! Everybody is happy in town (except, of course, if you’re an Atletico Madrid fan).
Due to a heat wave that came in from Africa, it’s been really hot for the past week. On top of that, we have 15 hours of sunlight with clear blue skies. Not a single cloud until San Sebastián. Your greatest concern around here is whether to drink white or red sangria. Did I say everybody was happy?
