Citizen Sleeper Review

Heya folks, Shaun here, and I’m back with a brand-new review! In this one, I’m covering an indie text-based adventure/RPG called Citizen Sleeper by Jump Over the Age, and Fellow Traveller. A big thank you goes out to the developer and publisher for the chance to review the game, it’s much appreciated, thank you!

Citizen Sleeper is a text-based adventure RPG that’s heavily inspired by table-top roleplaying games. The game puts you in the role of a Sleeper, a “person” that is merely an emulated consciousness inhabiting a stolen body. Your character sold their original body to a corporation but decided they wanted out so they installed their consciousness to another body and escaped. Your character wakes up on a space station in the far reaches of space and must choose their allies carefully.

The game’s story is really intriguing and I like the fact that the game isn’t your typical corpo themed cyberpunk story. It honestly has a pretty positive outlook despite your current situation and offers a hopeful and rather heartfelt adventure as you make friends and try to eke out a living aboard the station.
