The apex for which I yearned to gain, the height for which I laboured in climbing, held for me a darkness that I did not know in the valley.
From the lowlands in which I walked, I cravingly beheld the summit. It appeared to be free of all mystery and obscurity. There seemed to be nothing that would choke or inhibit. I thought that if insight could be gained in the denseness of the vale, then surely wisdom would flourish at the pinnacle of journey’s end; and so I panted to ascend the zenith and take my rest.
But I was wrong…
When I reached the summit, I found clarity with its sails down. I found peace to be beyond my custody; and I began to ache for the vision of the valley.
