Maybe You Should Talk to Your Neighbor
<p>Most likely, you have less than one good friend, which is sad.</p>
<p>People lost the art of communicating and connecting. Community connections are fraying. <a href="https://medium.com/all-things-work/why-you-are-lonely-and-how-to-make-friends-c335291aab03" rel="noopener">Friendships </a>are dying. Communities are breaking down, and few neighbors know the name of their next-door neighbor.</p>
<p><strong>If you look at social media, you will be exposed to tremendous incivility and hatred. </strong>If you watch the news, you will notice that the wealthy elites are profiting from the breakdown of our society. If you walk into one of the few community centers left in your town, you will see that your town is dying rapidly.</p>
<h1><strong>Young Men Desperately Need Strong Male Role Models</strong></h1>
<p>Last year, I attended a <a href="https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Boy Scouts of America</a> meeting so I could sign up my 10-year-old son to be a member, and I was the only male in the room. No other father felt the need to show up to the meeting. Most attendees were single mothers looking for a male role model for their kids, but they were disappointed.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Boy Scouts of America's</a> decline is not an isolated event. Participation in community events and organizations is dropping at an alarming rate in every corner of this country. This is horrible because it will lead to a mental health crisis that no one is ready to address. Even religious institutions are losing their status in society.</p>
