<p>Grief and joy are like yin and yang. You have to be able to grieve deeply to also feel true joy.</p>
<p>Yet, how many times do we brush past the grief and pain because we want to pretend that everything is okay? Are we embarrassed that we have fallen down or failed? Or are we are worried about what other people will think? We rush to stand up and act normal again.</p>
<p>A few days back, I found out about a deep betrayal by a family member. It changed the lens of how I looked at things. Our past suddenly was a very different story from the one I had believed.</p>
