Researchers in the Netherlands set out to answer that question, designing a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8316471/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">study</a>&nbsp;that analyzed opioid use and related adverse effects in 19 European countries between 2010 and 2018.
