<p>Ifyou’ve spent any length of time among the masses, you’ll have come across something.</p>
<p>Now, you may not have noticed this something, since it’s so deeply ingrained in our collective psyche that it seems to go undetected, but you’ll have definitely encountered it. And this something is:</p>
<p><strong>The discomfort we women feel in the face of our own humanity.</strong></p>
<p>That’s right. The irrational fear we have of being functioning human beings.</p>
<p>You’re probably wondering what on earth I’m talking about, and I can’t say I blame you because it sounds like a crude and frankly ludicrous claim to make, but it’s true. We women are scared of our own humanity. And I’d like to explore why that is.</p>
