That&rsquo;s dark for a children&rsquo;s magazine,&rdquo; I mused in startled silence.</p> <p>My adult brain&rsquo;s imagination went into overdrive &mdash; ear-bleeding yowling. Limbs flailing in the gurgling pitch-black. Blind belief is dangerous. Harmless pranks can have harmful consequences. The truth always comes out.
