My Cynicism of White Liberals

Mytime in this world, given I’m only 20, has been fairly short lived. My time with awareness of the predicaments brought about through my own race, being the black man that I am, has been even shorter. Even so, with my explicit racial journey beginning in 2014 during the mass televisation of the Ferguson riots, I’ve come to notice two categories of people — white people in particular — that serve as obstacles in the ultimate denunciation of white supremacy.

For background, I had come to know these two categories of white obstacles through my college journey. I originally enrolled in a largely conservative and religious college, then, after realizing I was surrounded by ignorance, (which I’ve decided to show mercy toward in order to prevent a brewing detestfulness within myself) I had begun frequenting a public and far more liberal school. In the former college, I was overcome with this dreadful feeling of alienation.
