What I Am Known For

With my negativity bias it was difficult to think of positive things I am known for, so I started with a few negatives.

Right away I thought about how I am known for having a straight face when I open gifts. It’s impossible to tell if I like the present. I don’t mean to seem ungrateful. I just have a hard time expressing myself.

Despite my lack of emotional expression, I am known for having a prominent thought wrinkle on my forehead. I’ve thought of getting Botox, but it is costly and I am afraid of the procedure.

My husband says I’m known for bitching. He says I nag him all day long. I don’t think it’s true that I complain all day, but I sometimes feel like its the only way to get anything done and I am just exasperated!

I hate to say this, but I am probably known for being crazy. I live in a small village and I have said and done some questionable things over the years — especially when I was manic.

I want to think of some positive things I’m known for.

I’m known for being a basset hound lover. I have two basset hounds and a mini poodle. I have enjoyed basset hound ownership for the last twenty years. They are a stubborn breed, but lovable.

I am known for being a good speller. I won spelling bee’s in elementary school and my husband always asks for my help with spelling.

I have exquisite handwriting and a lot of people know that about me. When I was young, I practiced my handwriting repeatedly, until it met my perfectionist standards.

I am known as an artist. Between writing poems and crafting journals, I have given many handmade gifts that were treasured.
