My 1L Experience at Western Law

Over the past eight months, I completed my first year of law school. It was difficult and challenging, to say the least. I moved to a new city where I only knew two people, met tons of new faces, was thrown into six courses, given 100+ pages of reading per week, and challenged with learning new topics that I knew next to nothing about, which often felt like a new language.

Over this period, I spent many long days studying, followed by late nights (sometimes I even had to pull all-nighters), many times of uncertainty and feelings of inadequacy. Although, somehow, I made it out the other side and passed all of my courses!
