<p>Friends, we have before us a week that includes <em>the</em> most important astrological event of the decade: Pluto leaves Capricorn for Aquarius. If any sign represents equality and liberation of the oppressed it is Aquarius. For people of color, the LGBTQ community, for oppressed religious and racial minorities, and above all for women, we can hope to see significant progress between 2024 and 2043. As Simone de Beauvoir wrote: “On the day when it will be possible for woman to love not in her weakness but in strength, not to escape herself but to find herself, not to abase herself but to assert herself — on that day love will become for her, as for man, a source of life and not of mortal danger.”</p>
