Wakefoiling In a Nutshell

Riding a wave but making it feel like you are flying? That’s right. Hydrofoil technology opens up a whole new world that allows us to have more days on the water. Seeing how brands and athletes push the limits on what’s possible with hydrofoils we at Boardroom are more than excited to introduce you to it. Ronix, Liquid Force, Armstrong, and Liquid Force are the industry leaders for water sports gear and we are proud to be able to offer their products to you. But first, a little bit of where the hydrofoils come from.

In water sports, hydrofoils were already in sight in 1989 when Bob Woolley and Mike Murphy launched the first production sit-down foil, the Air Chair. After that fast forward to 2003 we were able to see Laird Hamilton surfing a huge ass wave at “Jaws” using snowboarding boots and bindings on a board to control the wave.
