Turkeys: Gamifying yield farms on-chain
<p><strong>We sat down with Shep, the owner and dev of Turkeys, ticker $Veg, who has custom built an on-chain decentralised yield farm game. Farmer and Turkey NFTs interact with each other, through smart contracts, within the context of a farm themed game, enabling holders to yield native token.</strong></p>
<p><strong>GG:</strong> <em>Would you mind introducing yourself and the team, a little bit about your background?</em></p>
<p><strong>Shep:</strong> <em>Yes of course! So for the past 2 years myseld and my partner, Calm, have built ghost utilities for other projects in the space, some really big and custom ones and alot of custom staking and minting dapps in between — I’ve been a JS developer for around 14 years now and made the move to Solidity around 3 years ago. Fuck forking, if it already exists it doesn’t need to be duplicated.</em></p>
<p><em>Calm is my right hand, he manages everything from people and tg to providing support across our third party products and obviously is doing a killer job at Turkeys, we love Calm.</em></p>
<p><em>My wife ensures that I can produce, she is my rock, she keeps the team on track, she looks after our sick kids whilst I work, she asks the questions nobody else has the balls too and none of this works without her.</em></p>
