Is There a Transcontinental Tunnel?
<p>This week I am asking the obvious question, is there a transcontinental tunnel? It seems pretty likely there would be, but is there any evidence, or reason? I stumbled on a couple of things that seem to make it more likely than not. As usual, I might be off my rocker so luckily you don’t have to believe me, it is what is commonly believed that is in question.</p>
<p>Like man hole covers over a sewer line, it appears there is strategy to the collective addresses of our nation’s capitol buildings along the 39th-40th parallels. Sure some early planning, and surveying methods better explain some things but not what is clearly an uncelebrated alignment to each other and Philadelphia. It would be a repeated factoid of every tour and show about holes in the ground. Instead, the design is smuggled like a budgie into every map, history book, or guide about our nations underthings and I do declare we are about as modest as a Nevada chicken ranch.
