One Guy Is A Threat To Democracy?
<p>I was listening to NPR’s “Morning Edition” on Tuesday morning, 2/27. This was the day of the Michigan primaries, so NPR decided to talk to young students there about upcoming plans at the voting booth. The students shared their thoughts about driving issues in their lives. Several hot topics were raised related to daily life, including the war in Ukraine, the attack on women’s rights, and the glacial pace of student loan debt forgiveness. One young lady mentioned the fact that the cost of living has risen to the point that it’s common for people to have at least two jobs to make ends meet. The theme at play with these “kids” seems to be personal issues, and much of it falls at the feet of President Biden as feelings of disappointment toward his administration failing to achieve some campaign promises.</p>
