Protecting My Ears Helped Me to Embrace This Aging Body

When my friend asked me if I wanted to go see the band <a href="https://www.foreigneronline.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Foreigner</a> at a local outdoor concert venue, at first I balked. I’m a fan of their hits but not necessarily the biggest fan of the band. Add to that, they were playing at the <a href="https://www.mountainviewamphitheater.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Shoreline Amphitheatre</a> which is quite well known here in the Bay Area because it hosts all of the huge acts. Which is exactly why I don’t like it. Big crowds aren’t necessarily my thing. When my friend followed on by saying that the opening act would be <a href="https://www.loverboyband.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Loverboy</a>, it got more interesting. I did love the band Loverboy back in the day. It didn’t take much convincing after that. I agreed to go. Why not? The acts on stage and the people in the seats are both looking to recover a few of those glory days. There’s a particular trick of my aging mind that tells me I am not that old. Certainly not as old as all of those people entering the gates alongside my friend and me. I feel like my age is probably around my early 30s. That seems about right.
