<p>Ever since Trump pledged to build a wall and have “Mexico pay for it,” I’ve always wondered what would happen if Democrats adopted tougher language on the border. Now, it looks like I’m finally getting my answer.</p>
<p>Whether or not it’s as big of a problem as people think it is, border security and illegal immigration remain a major concern of American voters. After all, if it weren’t for some degree of latent xenophobia, Trump wouldn’t have pulled off his upset win against Hillary Clinton in 2016.</p>
