<h1>The Power Of A Small Town Melody.</h1> <p>The man and the woman sit in the centre on one of the benches next to the fountain. The man gets out the small pocket-sized chess set and they set up the sides The man plays black, the woman is white.</p> <p>&ldquo;Apt,&rdquo; she says.</p> <p>He looks at her.</p> <p>&ldquo;Black is the bad guy, right? Black hat and all that.&rdquo;</p> <p>&ldquo;Racist much?&rdquo; he returns.</p> <p>&ldquo;Please.&rdquo; she protests. &ldquo;the old movies it was that way. Black hat and white hat. White hat was always the good guy. Black hat would be the one tyig me to the railway tracks.&rdquo;</p> <p>&ldquo;I got an answer to that.&rdquo; he says.</p> <p>She tuts. &ldquo;Dirty minds&hellip;&rdquo;</p> <p>&ldquo;Are more fun&hellip;.&rdquo; he smiles.</p> <p>&ldquo;Why are we here again?&rdquo; the woman sighs and looks around at the small town. People were going about their day. Vehicles driving by. Across the way a busker was setting up his gear.</p> <p>&ldquo;Waiting for a job?&rdquo; the man said and and moved a pawn forward. A child chased a ball passed them.</p> <p>&ldquo;We always seem to be waiting for a job.&rdquo; the woman replied and moved a knight. A man sat down in a bench opposite and took out a sketch pad.</p> <p>The man studied the board then moved another pawn. &ldquo;Yup,&rdquo; he muttered and looked around.
