A Thanksgiving Menu of “What Ifs”

<p>Winter is a good time to sit by a wood stove in the &ldquo;box&rdquo; that&rsquo;s your house and &ldquo;think outside the box&rdquo; about &ldquo;what ifs.&rdquo; That&rsquo;s how Congregational minister, musician, and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.publishersweekly.com/9781888889451" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">naturalist Rob McCall</a>&nbsp;began a 2010 post-Thanksgiving episode of a weekly muse known as the&nbsp;<a href="https://archives.weru.org/awanadjo-almanack/2010/11/awanadjo-almanack-112610/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Awanadjo Almanack</a>&nbsp;that he delivered for decades on a community radio station in Maine prior to his death last spring.</p> <p>Rob&rsquo;s Almanack was &ldquo;devoted to feeling at home in nature and breaking down the wall of hostility between us and the rest of creation.&rdquo; That&rsquo;s a hard job, but Rob did it so brilliantly that they still broadcast past episodes every week.
