And compared to some attractive articles that illustrate the beauty of symmetry through the celebrity faces, it did seem a bit pedantic and not intuitive enough. But just like no one would hide treasures on the surface of Earth, the mystery of symmetry is the same: we always need to dig and explore it.</p>
<p>Let’s start by searching at the surface first—the simplest case. The thing we all know is that any two points determine a straight line. Which means if we want to make three points lie on the same straight line, the third point must fall on the straight line determined by another two points.</p>
<p>So what will happen if we have 5 stones? In fact, we only need to draw two intersecting straight lines, put A1 at their intersection, and then list A2, A3 and A4, A5 on two straight lines respectively.</p>
