<p>As I got older my interactions with men often solidified my judgement. In my eyes, men often abused their power, were manipulative, and could not be trusted. My choices in partners were often those who had deep-seated and unaddressed emotional issues, and in many ways, I fooled myself into believing I had something special that could fix them. This led me down a path full of pain and disappointment. I wasn’t perfect either — I was a broken little girl, with lingering daddy issues trying to find someone to love me. I was a walking projection.</p>
