In the past 6 months, I can confidently say that I speak Spanish and that I only sound a little idiotic when I speak Portuguese (i’m hoping to get better in the next couple of months). I know how to dance Salsa and am learning how to dance Forró, a dance from the Northeast of Brazil. I have seen amazing sunsets in amazing places with amazing people. I have traded in my completely monotone wardrobe (thanks San Francisco) for a wardrobe full of bright colours and floral prints. I feel happy in my skin and my body and wear whatever the hell I feel like wearing. I have discovered my passion for the card game, Cambio. I always knew this but I truly realize how connected everyone in the world is, regardless of the borders that have been arbitrarily drawn for us by rich white men.

Learn More
