A New Soundtrack (The Emerald City Stories #1)

It was after fourteen days I had arrived, and I was so scared of the city. Not scared of the experience of my first international travel but I was actually with a big fright of Dublin. The sun was up until 11 PM, the air was stuffy getting my lungs stuffed every second, the streets were noisy (for me), and the seagulls looked like experienced burglars. I thought of leaving after three days, selling my stuff and returning to Brazil without anyone knowing.

This fear, as I understand it today, was a reflection of the anxiety that I was turning a dream into reality. I was out of my country, on my own, proving that I had learnt some English in the past five years and with all the responsibilities on my hands. I was not going to answer anyone about it because I was the reason I decided to come and I was the reason I decided to stay after those three days.

Website
