Can I Still Wish On Shooting Stars?
<p>You only know what you know, or the abbreviated “iykyk” if you are hanging out with an 11 year old and her mother. That brings into mind-focus my remembering those awkward moments when you realize there’s a whole conversation you just can’t follow. It’s like you walked into a meeting of toddlers discussing finger paints? Yeah, that’s me a lot, especially with what people collectively don’t know about history and science.</p>
<p>This morning, it hit me how many people might be clueless about Native American stories and beliefs. Forget dusty history textbooks, most folks probably wouldn’t believe that many indigenous groups were basically astronomy cosmogonic theory rock stars long before telescopes were even a twinkle in anyone’s eye!</p>
