Shocking True Crime: Halloween Night Murder Over a Bag of Candy in Chicago

<p>While losing an item we are looking for is infuriating, most realize it&rsquo;s not the end of the world. Unfortunately, this story does not follow the same reasonable assumptions most of us live by.</p> <p>The scene inside 7150 S Winchester Ave was one of chaos. Ledell Peoples, 55, could not find his bag of candy and was certain Maria Adams, 49, had taken it. Ledell started yelling at Maria, then physically assaulting her when she told him she didn&rsquo;t have his candy.</p> <p>Fearing for her life, Maria started hurling plates at her attacker. Ledell received a cut over his eye at one point in the fight, which can be seen in his mugshot photograph.</p> <p>But things didn&rsquo;t end there. Ledell started grabbing steak knives and stabbing Maria.
