She Knew
<p>Yes, finally the knots were unravelling and the threads of her knotted thoughts, mingled with forgotten memories had started to separate.</p>
<p>Oh, that hidden corridor with a locked door, it was there, all along it had been, but it was only today, after 55 years of that incident, that she was standing there.</p>
<p>Her doctor had told her to go slowly, but suddenly, finding herself in front of that locked door, she couldn’t resist.</p>
<p>She pushed it, and the sound, “<a href="https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/door-43633/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Cheeeeee”</a>* meant, it hadn’t been locked.</p>
<p>It hadn’t been locked at all, just ajar!</p>
<p>The little girl, running to find her sister had crossed the door, running to the other side of the corridor where a curtain was moving as if someone had just gone through it.</p>
