Scholars of Sharjah
<p>“Lower your voice and raise your mind,” were the words I spotted during our visit to the library at the American University of Sharjah. Today we spent our day learning strategies regarding innovation in education in the UAE. The best place for this was the none other than the educational district, Sharjah. This emirate is one of the seven emirates that make up the UAE and is home to the top universities in the GCC and in the Middle East, including the American University of Sharjah (AUS). We were fortunate enough to sit down with the CEO of AUS Enterprises, Hussain Al Mahmoudi, during our round table discussion where he shared the vision of AUS, the significance innovation plays in education, as well as the future of a knowledge-based economy the UAE is striving towards.</p>
