“Ew, Men” is Not a Useful Sentiment for Feminism or Social Justice
<p>Iwould like to preface this piece by assuring you the sentiment here isn’t the same “Not All Men” rhetoric that’s plagued Twitter, or any preference towards #PickMe culture that’s designed to put down women who are having the necessary conversations about sexism and gender roles in society.</p>
<p>At this stage in the mainstream discussion on feminism, I’m sure I don’t need to explain to anyone that people are socialized in ways that promote misogyny and white supremacy, creating systemic barriers based on gender. (If that sounds like news, this is probably not the article for you to start with…)</p>
