Self Diagnosis and TikTok

<p>Tiktok, and the internet in general, was actually instrumental in my diagnosis of both ADHD and PCOS. For ADHD in particular, I kept seeing videos about people who had ADHD, particularly women, and I kept thinking &ldquo;hey that&rsquo;s like me&rdquo;. I had no idea things I thought were just my quirks, or from anxiety, were ADHD. Things like starting projects and never finishing, getting really invested in a hobby and losing interest, being really into a book or video game for a period of time and then suddenly losing interest, interrupting others and feeling like you cannot stop yourself from doing so, being overly empathetic, and item/time blindness. Eventually it got to the point where I knew I had to see a doctor, and I did get a referral from my primary care physician.
