Exploring Saraburi’s Quarry: A Virtual Field Trip into Thailand’s Amazing Outcrop

Thailand is located in Southeast Asia. It shares its northern border with Laos and Myanmar, while the southern part of the country has a border with Malaysia. Thailand’s landscape is diverse and striking. Towards the north, there are intricate mountain ranges, and the southern part is graced with wonderful seas and sandy beaches.

Saraburi Province, located in the central region. This might not be widely known to those who’ve traveled to Thailand. Interestingly, Saraburi is situated very close to Bangkok and is just a few hours’ drive to the north. While many might see Saraburi as a mere passageway and overlook its significance, I’d like to highlight that Saraburi will offer many experiences. These include not only tourist attractions but also natural spots worth exploring. Especially in terms of geology, Saraburi is a significant province for studying Thailand’s and Southeast Asia’s geological history.
